The famous 'This is Anfield' sign which reminds the Reds who they're playing for - and reminds visitors who they're playing against - was first installed by Shanks as he built Liverpool Football Club into the oft-quoted "Bastion of Invicibility." Now a statue of the club legend stands proudly outside The Kop inscribed with a simple truth: 'He Made The People Happy.'
